Joutenlampi Recreation Centre is a versatile training and holiday centre, located amidst the magnificent nature of Kainuu, 15 km north of Kajaani. Joutenlampi is situated by water and is surrounded by excellent terrain for berry picking and other outdoor activities: jogging and fitness tracks, sports and beach volley fields, courtyard basketball, mini-golf, salmon fishing, and an adventure trail; in winter try out snowshoe trekking and winter outdoor swimming! Local Kainuu ski resorts are to be found nearby: Vuokatti 30 km, Paljakka 60 km and Ukko-Halla 70 km away.

Joutenlampi provides a variety of accommodation options

Juolukka

Juolukka is a comfortable holiday cottage accommodating 2 – 3 people that lies in a peaceful setting amidst idyllic scenery. Enjoy the peace and beauty of nature from your comfy cottage. A sauna, bathroom facilities and the WC are located separately, in the sauna service building.

Kankaala

There are 5 cottages accommodating 4 – 8 people and a 2-person cabin (Vasu) located in the Kankaala area. The WCs and showers can be found in a separate building. All the cottages have electric heating and are therefore inhabitable during the winter. Vakka, which includes its own kitchen, is the shared conference facility for this area and it accommodates 40 people.

Shared Apartments

Within the congress centre area, visitors are accommodated in rooms for two within shared apartments. The apartments are equipped with WCs, showers, a shared living room with a kitchenette, microwave oven, coffee machine, fridge, tableware, TV and telephone. Two of the apartments have their own sauna; all the others are equipped with a shower.

Food Services

Our brand new canteen, renovated at the beginning of 2010, seats 120 people. We offer tasty breakfasts, lunches and high-dining…. We are pleased to plan our meals service according to the wishes and requirements of our groups and visitors.
